FAIRS TO HELP SMALL BUSINESSES

THE Liberal National Government will hold a number of Small Business Fairs across the nation to raisea wareness of the range of incentives, funding and programs available to support small business.


Minister for Small and Family Business, Skills and Vocational Education,Senator Michaelia Cash,and LucyWicks MP, Federal Member for Robertson,will open theGosfordSmall Business Fair onWednesday, February 27.

The Small BusinessFairs aim to helpbusinesses tap into timesaving incentives andFederal Government initiatives
.
The Fairs also givethose looking to start their own small business a chance to talk to governmentrepresentatives and officials fromrelevant agencies including the Department of Jobs and Small Business.

Minister Cashsaid the Liberal National Government was investing in Australia’s small businesses to fosteran environment of confidence, increased investment, economic growth and employment.

“The Government understands that when businesses grow, they create more jobs.We also understandthe daily challenges of running asmall business, so the Government has a number of programs to make iteasier for Australian small business owners to get on with the job.” Minister Cash said.

MP Lucy Wicks said there wereover18,000 small and family businesses inthe electorate of Robertson, so itwas important to provide support to help foster growth within the community.

"Small business is the lifeblood of our communities, our industry and our economy. Our local businessesare working 24/7 and don’t have time to come to us, so weare going to them,”Mrs Wicks said.

“Whether you’re in retail, hospitality, agriculture, trades and services, the Small Business Fair is anexcellent opportunity for business owners, or those looking to get into small business, to know whatsupport andinitiativesareout there for you to do what you do best–create more local jobs.”

The Small Business Fair will be held atGosford RSL Club,26 Central Coast Highway, West Gosford on Wednesday February 27 from 7:30am until 2:00pm. For further information or to register visit:
