NEW IMPROVED SERVICES FOR CENTRELINK, MEDICARE

WYONG residents will benefit from improved access to Centrelink and Medicare services, with upgraded service centres opening today.
The new-look Wyong office is located in Village Central Wyong, just 450 metres from the former service centre at Hely Street.

Customers will experience a consistent service delivery approach, tailored for their individual circumstances. They will be offered a range of service options, including support to access the digital channel, appointment based servicing for Centrelink services, face-to-face customer interviews, and referral to specialists or other government services.

Minister for Government Services Linda Reynolds CSC said the new service centres meet the changing needs of the local community, and reflect the agency’s commitment to delivering services that are simple, helpful, respectful and transparent.

‘The contemporary spaces also come with new and improved services for the Wyong and Narooma communities, like upgraded self-service terminals, and being able to book appointments for Centrelink services,’ Minister Reynolds said.

‘By pre-booking a time for Centrelink services, locals can minimise waiting at the service centre. They can phone their regular Centrelink payment line to book a time for a face-to-face appointment.’

Senator for New South Wales Jim Molan said the community will be well served by the new facilities.

‘It’s also a great opportunity for locals to tell Services Australia what they think of the improvements, as staff will be seeking feedback about their experience,’ Senator Molan said.

The former Wyong Service Centre at Hely Street is now closed, with the new and improved service centre in Village Central Wyong open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
