Big win for Terrigal's iconic Crowne Plaza

CROWNE Plaza Terrigal Pacific has won a major award at the National Meeting and Events Australia Industry Awards.

It was named winner of the Meeting, Exhibition or Event Venue under 500 Delegates’ award for the second year running.  The Meeting and Events Australia (MEA) Industry Awards were held at Adelaide’s Convention Centre.

The Terrigal resort hotel was also awarded the Platinum Award - Company, tying with Lateral Event Management for the accolade.

The Platinum Award is presented to the entrants who have achieved the highest point score across all entries.  A national winner from any category is eligible.

More than 300 industry leaders gathered for the national MEA gala awards ceremony, honouring the best players in the hotel and hospitality trade across Australia.

The Industry Awards recognise excellence and best business practice in the Meetings & Events Industry and encourage industry professionals to excel in the achievement of their business and personal goals.

Mr Ryan South, Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific’s General Manager said it was a privilege to be recognised with the award for the second year running.

“Our team all work hard to bring dreams to life, create amazing conferences and events and deliver them with the level of service we are renowned for. We love being able to showcase Terrigal and provide an inspired destination for meetings and events.”

Contributing factors that helped Crowne Plaza Terrigal win this award included:

* The hotel’s luxurious resort-style accommodation

* Thirteen meeting spaces and a combination of indoor and outdoor venues, many with ocean views and natural light

*   A dedicated and highly trained Meetings Director to tailor packages according to budget and expectation

*   An Executive Chef to design personalised menus that meet the needs and the style of each individual event

*   Leisure facilities including modern fitness centre, large heated outdoor pool overlooking the ocean and long enough for laps anytime of the year, and the hotel’s proximity to village life and a wide variety of nature and active pursuits on its doorstep
